About Me
When I was 13 years old, my Dad convinced me to give bike racing a shot. After establishing a good lead in my first race, my left pedal broke off. I arrived at the finish line frusterated, but hooked. Bike racing became not only a passion but eventually my profession. With encouragement from my family and friends, I managed to reach professional status with two different teams; Kenda/5hr Energy Pro Cycling (2012) and Team Smart Stop (2013.)
While pursuing racing, I graduated from James Madison University with a Media Arts and Design degree while also working for Gripped Films on various projects including the 2009 award-winning cycling docuemntary Chasing Legends, and producing pieces for the 2011 NBC Tour de France coverage.
Since graduating, my wife Alexa and I have relocated to beautiful Crozet, VA - just outside of Charlottesville in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Still actively training and racing, I also own and operate
Winsor Creative, a full service branding and identity solution for small businesses, providing graphic design, web development, and videography. With a life-long goal of elevating the sport of cycling I am also coach, event promoter, and, of course, a fan.
I'm very lucky to have a profession that is also my hobby but when I'm not riding or working, I love to cook, find new restaurants, hike in our gorgeous mountains, visit family, write, and play board games.
